The SVX Flameproof Energize to Latch Open Valve with Manual Open/Stop Lever is suitable for operation in T4, Zone 1, Gas Group IIB or in Zone 21 hazardous areas. The valve uses “fail safe” actuation and is designed to be opened using the manual open/stop lever. This feature is ideal for use with engines where power is not available until the engine is running. Once the valve has been opened by the manual start/stop lever, power is applied to the solenoid on the valve. When power is applied to the solenoid, the valve is held open as long as power is supplied. When power is cut off for any reason such as the detection of an engine overspeed condition or other unsafe engine operating conditions, the valve will close.

There are accessories and kits available to help simplify installation of the SVX Flameproof Energize to Run Valves. Hose adaptors (shown installed on the valve) are available in a wide range of sizes to match the requirement for engine air intake lines. Installation kits are also available for a wide variety of hose sizes.
