In a joint partnership with our local representative in Malaysia, Petra Resources Sdn Bhd, a project team was formed to undertake the work.

The scope of this project was significant and covered the complete refurbishment of the 3 packages including; Dresser Rand compressor overhaul, Caterpillar engine overhaul, Lufkin gearbox inspections, Holset coupling inspection and overhaul, Air Exchanger testing and re-certification, fan replacement and repair, full vessel testing and weld repair of damaged vessels, valve and actuator repair and replacement, structural reinstatement of man ways and scaffolding.

AMOT upgraded the existing AMOT pneumatic control system and sensors, with an electronic PLC based control panel for Zone 2 installation including electronic sensors. AMOT Engineers provided on site supervision for the installation of all instrumentation and were fully responsible for offshore commissioning of the compressor units.
