Operation

AMOT Model 4270 provides a reliable, low cost solution to virtually any application requiring continuous temperature monitoring. Available in either a Thermocouple (Types J & K) or Platinum RTD configuration, Model 4270 can adapt to high temperature applications as well as those requiring extreme accuracy.

316 Stainless Steel construction ensures long life and excellent resistance to corrosive and sour gas applications. Thermocouple and RTD sensor materials are completely sealed within the stainless steel sheath to ensure that they never come into direct contact with the surrounding elements.

Teflon coated wiring, with protective stainless steel overbraid, provides added strength and eliminates the need for conduit when used with an intrinsically safe moni-toring system. The double-threaded hex fitting makes it simple to hard-pipe directly to the sensor or to attach a separate connection head, if needed. The hex fitting is permanently brazed onto the sensor probe, allowing the 4270 to be directly immersed into process pressures up to 3000 psi. Optional thermowells can handle pressures up to 10,000 psi.
