4420 Gas Turbine Fuel Shutoff Valve

SKU 4420

Introducing our 4420 Gas Turbine Fuel Shutoff Valve - your reliable companion for gas turbine applications.

The AMOT 4420 is a compact, stainless-steel gas turbine fuel shutoff valve engineered for reliable fuel isolation on industrial gas turbines. A single-acting, spring-return pneumatic actuator closes the valve in under 100 milliseconds to help protect the turbine and downstream equipment during trips, emergencies, and normal shutdowns.

Here's why it's a game-changer:

4420 gas turbine fuel shutoff valve

Product Features and Benefits:

  • Fast, dependable fuel isolation: With a close time of less than 100 milliseconds, the valve enables rapid and accurate control over fuel flow, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
  • Versatile Options: Choose between our 2-way and 2-way vented versions to suit various gas turbine applications. The 2-way vented version of the valve relieves pressure downstream upon shutdown, eliminating the need for additional equipment such as bleed valves. This not only simplifies the system but also reduces maintenance requirements and downtime.
  • Clear Position Indication: The optional for the optional open/closed position switch indication for added clarity and control.
  • Certified for hazardous areas and sour service

Materials:

  • Rugged Stainless Steel Constuction - CF3M Stainless Steel Body; Electroless Nickel Plated Stainless
  • Steel Spindle, PTFE seals/ Nitrile Seals/ Ceramic Filled
  • Fluoropolymer with Spring energizer

Accreditation available:

  • NACE MR-01-75 / ISO 15156 (Meets the material requirements of NACE / ISO standards)
  • PED / PE(S)R, ATEX / UKEX, UKCA

Applications

The 4420 gas turbine fuel shutoff valve is developed for use in both manual and automatic control systems, including:

  • Fuel shutoff valve for industrial gas turbines

  • Starting air or starting gas valve

  • Vented fuel or gas valve where downstream pressure must be relieved after shutdown

Typical uses include power generation, oil and gas compression, and mechanical-drive turbomachinery where fast, repeatable fuel isolation is critical.

Operation

How the 4420 Works

The Model 4420 is a single-acting, spring-return, pneumatically actuated shutoff valve designed specifically for gas turbine fuel systems. When pilot air pressure is applied to the actuator, the valve opens to allow flow from the IN port to the OUT port. When the pilot pressure is removed, the spring drives the valve closed to isolate the fuel supply.

For the 2-way vented version, the vent port is closed during normal operation. When the valve receives a shutdown signal and the pilot pressure is released, the main flow path closes and the vent port opens to the downstream piping, relieving trapped pressure and helping purge the line. This integrated venting capability removes the need for separate bleed or vent valves and simplifies skid design.
