5435x Thermostatic Wax Element - Replacement Temperature Regulator for Model E Valves

SKU 5435x

Are you looking to replace the temperature regulating element in your AMOT Model E valve?

The 5435x temperature regulating element is specifically designed for the Model E series, covering valves from 1/2" to 1.5" sizes. This crucial component senses the fluid's temperature and activates the valve slider to regulate flow efficiently.

They are offered in a wide range of control temperatures, and this set point is calibrated at our factory to ensure proper function

Why Replacement is Necessary

Over time, the mechanical components of the temperature regulating element can wear out, affecting performance. Regular replacement is essential to maintain the efficiency and reliability of your system.

Signs It's Time for a Replacement:

  • Extended Fluid Warm-Up Times: Noticeably longer times for your fluid to reach the desired temperature.
  • Slow or Erratic Temperature Response: Inconsistent or delayed responses to temperature changes.
  • Excessive Emissions: White smoke or other abnormal emissions from your engine.

Maintenance Recommendations:

AMOT advises servicing thermostatic control valves during each scheduled major equipment overhaul. For valves are used in high-risk, sensitive, or extreme applications, we recommend more frequent inspections and replacement of seals and elements. Regular checks for wear and correct operation are essential under the following conditions:

  • Fluid output from the valve varies by more than +/-2oC from the control temperature
  • The system takes significantly longer to reach operating temperature than normal
  • Exposure to higher-than-recommended temperatures
  • Periods of prolonged inactivity
  • Unknown or neglected maintenance schedules

Service kits contain all the components necessary, including new temperature control elements and seals, to make easy work out of valve maintenance. For more information or to order your service kits, please contact us today. Keep your systems running smoothly with AMOT's reliable and efficient temperature regulating elements.
