The AMOT 7001 Swing Gate Air Shut Off Valve is a positive air intake shutoff valve engineered for the extreme demands of the hydraulic fracturing and offshore production industries. Designed specifically for MTU Series 4000 (S81/S82/S83) high-horsepower engines, this valve provides critical overspeed protection by closing off engine intake air to halt runaway diesel engines.

Hydrocarbons released in areas where diesel engines operate can trigger uncontrolled engine overspeed, a dangerous situation where simply cutting ignition won’t stop the engine. The 7001 valve effectively shuts down the engine, preventing mechanical failure or explosion.
