Temperature Control for Wastewater Treatment
Glycol Systems
AMOT Externally-Actuated Model G Rotary Control Valve
In the wastewater treatment industry, legacy digester sludge heating systems are being upgraded from steam circuits to a glycol system. Glycol systems, when mixed with water, provide better heat transfer and can operate at a wide range of temperatures; however, to prevent baking of sludge and digestor upsets, the process temperature must be maintained within the mesophilic range at an optimum of 100oF.
The AMOT externally-actuated Model G rotary control valves help optimize performance and adjust to a plant’s ever-changing demands. They offer remote temperature sensing and quick reaction to temperature changes to improve reliability, decrease initial warm-up time, and ensure consistent temperature control. AMOT also offers custom actuators for plants where valves and actuators must be placed within a hazardous area.
