Overspeed prevention for Ford, Dodge, and GM trucks

Protecting your automotive truck from the dangers of diesel engine runaway has never been easier. The ThrottleStop Overspeed Protection System uses a preprogrammed module to monitor the engine RPMs. When the speed exceeds the programmed set point, the module automatically triggers the truck’s factory-installed throttle valve to close, shutting down the engine to prevent it from becoming an ignition source in hazardous environments. ThrottleStop systems come with a manual override switch for testing.

Installation is quick—about two hours—and simple with engine-specific kits that contain everything needed:

  • Pre-programmed ThrottleStop module
  • Complete wire harness with all accessories
  • Cable ties
