3-way temperature control valves
3-way temperature control valves
AMOT 3-Way Temperature Control Valves help improve efficiency and modernize the performance of natural gas and diesel engines by controlling the temperature of vital engine fluids. We offer various types of temperature control valves for different needs.
3-way actuated control valves
If you experience long warm-up times, excessive white smoke from the exhaust, or difficulty regulating fluid temperature at idle, replace your thermostatic valve with an externally actuated AMOT Model G rotary valve. Available in electric or pneumatic actuation, it offers the highest precision and greatest flexibility of any valve on the market.
- Maintains fluid temperature within +/- 1°F
- Sensitive temperature adjustment
- Flexible port configurations
- Easily installs into existing systems - no
- need modifications to the pipes
Model G Low Leak Valve
In tropical regions, bypass leak in the cooling circuit plays a critical role in engine performance. The Model G Low Leak Valve was designed to maximize engine performance in applications where an air-cooled system is used. The Low Leak Model G will improve the engine cooling system by
- Eliminate hot bypass leaks to engine during operation°F
- Eliminate hot bypass leaks to engine during operation
- Provide a quick return on investment through fuel savings.
- Avoid engine power reduction due to inefficient temperature control
- Reduce demand for cooling systems

Heavy-duty thermostatic control valves
If you are looking for a solution that you can install once and forget about, AMOT's robust thermostatic control valves are automatic, require little maintenance and can operate in any mounting position. Complete service kits for thermostatic valves are available with all the necessary components to make maintenance quick and simple.
Thermostatic Control Valve Service Kits
The importance of frequent valve maintenance
Thermostatic temperature control valves are a rugged, reliable and repeatable means of controlling the vital temperatures of your fluids. But your temperature control valve's ability to maintain a constant temperature can change over time. Prolonged operation at extremes of temperature, pressure and flow can reduce the effectiveness of your valve, as can exposure to chemicals and foreign particles.
AMOT recommends maintenance of thermostatic control valves with each regularly scheduled major equipment check. When valves are used in high-risk, sensitive or extreme applications, we recommend more frequent inspections and replacement of seals and elements.
The service kits contain all necessary components, including new temperature control elements and seals, to facilitate valve maintenance. Contact us to request service kits.

Additional Engine Products
Oil condition monitoring
Timely detection of metal particles ensures reliable engine operation and avoids unnecessary downtime. The AMOT Metal Particle Detector (MPD) is a continuous in-line wear debris monitor that flags the presence of metal particles in engine lubricating oils. Early warning of metal partitions reduces operating costs, reduces downtime, and prevents unnecessary repairs or replacement of parts.
Sensors and switches
Robust, field-proven sensors and switches are an integral part of vapor pressure management, overpressure protection and vibration monitoring systems. Hazardous area certifications are available on certain products.
Fuel shutoff valves
Fuel control valves provide accurate and reliable gas control and metering for any industrial gas turbine. AMOT fuel gas valves are easily repaired in the field.
